We’re actively seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong finance background for a 6-month fixed term contract to oversee a review of our finance processes. Salary £60k p.a. pro rata. There is the potential the project will be extended beyond 6 months.

Location: Thame OX9 3PG


The successful applicant can be based anywhere in the UK but will need to be able to travel to our Head Office in Thame and stay overnight from time to time (when this is permitted).

Key Responsibilities:
• Documentation and optimisation of all finance related processes
• Development of implementation plan and support execution
• Support the implementation of structures to support offshoring of activities
• Develop Concept and Business Case information in collaboration with project sponsor and end user
• Working with the finance team to understand and clarify their requirements, develop scope, cost and budget estimates and present to the sponsor for approval
• Lead the development of SLA’s and control structures to manage the performance of the finance teams
• Accountable for meeting key project deliverables for financial management, schedule management and scope management across these projects.
• Accountable for ensuring projects are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Liaise with the CPM group infrastructure to ensure all are stakeholders aligned and support project deliverables.
• Leading & supporting project teams through the process
• Budgetary oversight - develop project budgets, obtain approvals for and adhere to project scope.
• Risk Management – Consider the potential impact the project will have on the business should it cause an interruption and identify appropriate actions plans to mitigate risk.
• Project execution plan – Generate and deliver a detailed project execution plan concerning the execution of all aspects of the project.

Knowledge and Experience Required:
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience leading similar types of project
• A background in Accounting, or significant experience on a similar Finance/Accounting project
• Strong competence with project management and process mapping tools
• Competent in Project Management Methodology (i.e. Agile/Scrum/Lean/Prince2 or similar)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Close attention to detail and diligent organisation skills
•Proven track record in delivering high quality projects end to end, on time and budget
• A collaborative working style
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks in a compressed time frame
