We are looking for a Talent Advisor to join UKI Talent Team alongside our HR Business Partners, to ensure internal talent meets the future needs of the business. This role will directly report to the Head of Talent and your role will be to provide support and advice to managers and employees around all elements of talent management, with responsibility for supporting new initiatives and projects that enable us to develop and retain great people.

We offer an excellent salary between £30K - £35k DOE

Location: Thame, United Kingdom, OX9

(Hybrid working 3 days office is available)

The role is primarily based in Thame with occasional travel and overnight stays required to cover other sites and field-based personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting internal talent programmes, from planning and coordinating assessment centres to coaching and facilitating career development reviews.
  • Providing insight into people’s potential and areas of development from talent reviews.
  • Giving advice and support to the business relating to performance and talent management tools (appraisals, PDPs and career development) and delivering Talent inductions.
  • Promoting learning resources, making recommendations and ensuring feedback is provided to the L&D team.
  • Supporting and driving projects as needed, working with the Talent Manager/Head of Talent and internal stakeholders.
  • Working alongside the Learning & Development team to provide administrative support as required i.e., for holiday cover.
  • Covering and supporting the Talent Manager in their absence.
  • Taking ownership of own personal and professional development and keeping up to date with new trends and developments across the industry, sharing and applying where relevant. 
  • Maintaining SharePoint sites for Talent Management and Learning & Development (training provided).

Skills required:

  • Ideally had some experience working in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience of building and developing collaborative relationships.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Strong resilience and self-motivation to operate in an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Curious and organised approach to problem-solving.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in HR/ L&D is beneficial but not essential.
  • CIPD or equivalent qualification (or working towards) is beneficial but not essential.
