Ideal location: Leeds, United Kingdom, LS11  

You would be based in ASDA house with some flexibility for hybrid working.

About the role: 

Join our team as a Planning Coordinator and be at the forefront of driving our customer-centric initiatives. Your role will be integral to realising our strategic ambitions and ensuring the alignment of customer, operational, and commercial objectives. The Customer Planning team is dedicated to creating a robust trade plan and distinctive propositions that enhance value perception and boost footfall. 

You will have the opportunity to liaise with many areas of the business during the activity planning. This will give you a breadth of experience, working with a variety of channels within Asda including email, website, digital social and more!  

What does the Planning Coordinator do: 

  • A key part of the role will be supporting the Planners in the team with administrative tasks that support the delivery of the plan, working with the marketing and commercial teams to deliver our ambitions.  
  • You will contribute to the execution of propositions; including supporting in the campaign nomination process, liaising with key stakeholders, ensuring all information is accurate, shared on time and aligned to the brief.   
  • You will be the connection between the customer function and the rest of the business, providing the customer teams with the information they need to deliver our key customer messages.   
  • There will be a strong focus on relationship building, both inside your team and with the wider business ensuring you are proactive and can work collaboratively to achieve results.   
  • You’ll be required to work cross functionally with a variety of stakeholders across the Customer, Commercial & Retail functions to plan, manage and execute activity.  
  • A candidate that is looking to develop would be well suited to this role given the central nature of the role. 

This would be a great Planning Co-ordinator role for you if: 

  • You are highly organised; detail focussed and have proven experience contributing to multiple projects in a retail environment. 
  • You enjoy working with cross-functional teams: you get things done through by working collaboratively and agilely.   
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, a high level of commercial acumen and the curiosity find new ways to solve challenges  
  • Always thinks ‘Customer First' & champion this   
  • You will be able to review and understand secondary research, insight data, customer trends, and past performance autopsies. 
  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate confidently communicate simply and effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders. 
  • You’ll be a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with fast paced every changing environment or grocery retail. 
  • Retail / Marketing experience preferred.
