Working as part of the Content Team, you would be responsible for supporting in driving forward and developing Asda’s paid social media strategy and content outputs to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.

Ideal location: Leeds, United Kingdom, LS11 

Hybrid working available, with Asda's Office based in Leeds.

Salary: £24-27K DOE (pro rata)

This is a fixed-term position for 3 months.

Given the business focus on Social, this role will be responsible for working closely with the Social Transformation team and platform owners to build internal knowledge on social platforms and leading our roster of social media to develop and deliver best-in-class paid content to answer business needs and grow Asda’s overall brand.

Supporting to educate internal teams on social performance to grow and innovate Asda’s social content.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Working with the Paid Social Content Manager and agencies to develop and implement paid social content in line with the media strategy that meets ambitious growth and engagement targets.
  • Utilising their social expertise and knowledge across a breadth of different social platforms and performance metrics. This will drive forward Asda’s paid social media to create best-in-class and innovative social content to reach and engage our customers.
  • The role will closely work with our internal Campaign team and our agencies (internal and external) to understand creative big ideas and strategies, campaign development and principles to drive campaign consistencies.
  • Driving content through agency and studio teams to meet key milestones and live dates.
  • Working closely with our Social Transformation team, Asda’s Media team and platform owners to build knowledge of social media platforms, innovations, and trends to drive Asda’s relevancy
  • Ensure campaigns are measured and reported against agreed objectives and KPIs with insights and recommend taking into future campaigns and pulling together and presenting back results through evaluations.

What we need from you:

  • You will have an agency or client background with 5+ years’ experience managing projects related to social, media and or creative.
  • Strong knowledge across a variety of social media platforms and a view of what makes for effective and engaging content.
  • Ability to innovate and think outside the box.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage and inspire agencies.
  • Ability to lead a team to land projects within reactive timescales.
  • Line management experience
