We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Planning & Communications Executive who will be responsible for effective planning and communications for the Diageo account. This role will directly report into the Business Unit Manager who will support and develop you to be your best self! We offer an excellent salary between £30k - £34k per annum, depending on experience.

Ideal location: Thame, United Kingdom, OX9

The P&CE will work with the Business Unit Manager to take a full understanding of the cycle/quarterly briefing requirements from Diageo – supporting in briefing the internal virtual team and inputting into the cycle/quarterly briefing decks that are provided to all execution teams (TAM, *shopt, Tactical, SEs). For the SEs, this is done by effective and efficient communication with the National Sales & Training Manager who leads and manages the SE team responsible for the day-to-day execution of all sales delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collating/writing monthly and quarterly field operation and execution briefings
  • Will involve working with Business Unit Manager to take new client briefings and ensure these are cascaded as appropriately
  • Work with Axis to take briefings on cycle/quarterly changes to Liquid Salesforce Model and provide planning and communications for these
  • Create, manage and take ownership for a communication matrix
  • Support the National Sales & Training Manager with collating, organising and communicating feedback
  • Collating monthly channel insights/feedback from Field Team into Diageo via PowerPoint
  • Being an escalation point for the CPM virtual team (and field managers) relating to all activities documented.
  • Operational support of quarterly bonus workflow, revise, republish and maintain the new starter process for employees on the Diageo team.
  • Meeting attendance will be required at weekly CPM HO meetings and will be required at monthly client meetings in London.

Key skills needed

  • Tech and system savvy. Fully proficient in MS Office applications (O365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proven experience in problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills together with a strong customer focused approach, able to influence stakeholders (internal & external).
  • Willing to learn new skills and to adapt to new and changing technologies and environments.
  • Show flexibility and adaptability when working on internal or client related projects often with short deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and able to complete work tasks with thoroughness, accuracy and consistency.
  • Managing self – working under pressure and with a wide range of people and personalities to ensure delivering of joint tasks and efforts
  • Highly organised with ability to work individually and as part of a team sometimes under pressure.

Non-essential but nice to have skills:

  • 2 years of experience within an operations/project management role
  • Experience/knowledge of On-Trade desired but not essential
  • Experience of creating PowerPoint presentations desired

Hours: 9am-5.30pm Mon-Fri -The role requires some activity outside of normal working hours and or weekend working.  This may include staying away from home and working unsociable hours occasionally.
