The Senior Network Engineer / Network Specialist Role:
You will be based at our offices in Thame. Employed as a Network Specialist your main purpose will be develop and maintain network services and standards across the company. You will be at the forefront of any decision making relating to network development, identifying weaknesses across the network and recommending solutions. You will help develop the support function through standardization, training and monitoring to ensure they are best equipped when dealing with network issues\outages
You will obviously have a passion for technology and will be seen as the expert who can work across various areas of the business, enhancing systems that support both general operations and business growth.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Network Engineer / Network Specialist:

• Develop and implement tools to aid with the support, administration and development of LAN, WLAN and WAN services across all areas of the business.
• Be the expert, owning the network and offering direction and expertise on networking principles, continuously driving improvement.
• Develop and maintain security and access policies to ensure risk is minimized
• Work with OMNICOM\third parties\suppliers to define solutions
• Standardise and maintain documentation to cover configuration and procedures for all network services and appliances.
• Have a passion for keeping up to date all current and emerging network technologies so future recommendations and developments are based on a sound judgement of available options.
• Aid support teams in analysing incident trends and provide coaching and guidance to the Internal IT Teams as required.
• Advise on system change, conducting presentations, and producing high level system architecture and design documents to support your recommendations.
• Be a leader in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that define the use of Network services within CPM.

This would be a great Senior Network Engineer role if you:
• Are a network generalist with a competent set of Cisco skills
• Are a good communicator, able to explain complex issues in terms non-technical colleagues can understand
• Are a self-starter who likes to take the lead and require little supervision to complete tasks independently
• You are curious, enjoy working at pace and are a self-developer.
• Are skilled in multivendor networking technologies with a strong design background.
• Have some exposure to Cloud networking concepts and technologies ( AWS, Azure)
• Have a good understanding of virtual networking standards and features
• You are analytical and solve problems methodically
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment are an Ideas generator and innovator, always asking Why? How?
• Have a strong focus on automation and good knowledge of industry tools, always looking to contribute to future development.
• Are a good team player, ready to back up colleagues when there is need
• Have great written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce highly technical reports and documentation.
