Talent & Development Manager – Based at the office in Thame, with some elements of travel.
Up to 45k per annum including car allowance and a competitive benefits package + flexible working available.

We are looking for an experienced Talent and Development Manager to join our busy team. Due to business growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and energetic professional to make their mark with the design and delivery of a range of Talent and Development programmes. This position is in place to ensure we ‘get, grow and keep’ the best talent and provide meaningful career opportunities for our people.

Location: Thame OX9 3PG United Kingdom

The role will be supporting a diverse range of teams across the UK, working on behalf of prestigious brands to coach, train and embed a culture of learning and talent management.

Due to the nature and location of the teams, some travel within the UK will be an essential requirement, however in return we offer flexible working patterns including some working from home.

This is a varied role, from designing and delivering talent and training programmes, to developing effective succession planning and high-potential programmes. Proven experience in this field is a must, as well as the credibility to influence a range of stakeholders and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with Account Managers and other stakeholders, undertake regular review of talent needs and talent pools, making recommendations and delivering plans as relevant.
• Design and deliver talent and performance mapping, ensuring action plans are formed off the back of this.
• Responsible for running internal talent programmes including coordinating assessment centres, mentoring and fast-track development programmes, including apprenticeships.
• Coach managers to drive engagement and support in all aspects of talent and learning.
• Put in place measures to evaluate the impact of all programmes, identifying gaps and driving improvements.
• Look at new ways to bring in and develop talent, from graduate schemes to apprenticeships

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Experience of designing and delivering talent tools and programmes.
• Experience of a fast-paced environment, ideally within sales or retail.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to build and develop collaborative relationships.
• Training and facilitation design and delivery skills.
• Strong resilience and desire to drive continuous improvements and operate in a changing environment.
• Experience of line management.
• Commerciality – appreciates commercial impact of decisions.
• Effective planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
• Ability to travel to other sites/ field as needed
• IT skills (O365) and willingness to learn and adapt to new technology
