Based from our Head Office in Thame, the role requires a Financial Accountant to join CPM’s Finance department - we will even support you to complete your qualifications if not already qualified! Excellent salary - Up to £35k, plus company bonus and excellent benefits including pension and 26 days holiday rising to 31 days

As Financial Accountant, you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment alongside a knowledgeable team so there’s never a dull day at work. You will implement new and help improve existing processes policies, planning managing the year end accounts, full PL and tax activities.

The Financial Accountant Role:

This key role within our Finance department is pivotal to ensuring all accounts are processed in a timely manner. We are a very dynamic business, meaning that you will have several projects on the go at any one time. Timescales can often be short, so your ability to rise to a challenge and manage business expectations will be vital!

Key Responsibilities for the Financial Accountant are:
• Supervise the preparation, payment and reconciliation of VAT returns and accounts.
• Management of two Financial Assistants.
• Escalation point for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and banking queries from Offshore team and own team members.
• Review, explain and continuously improve current processes.
• Responsible for releasing payments and co-ordinate cover for banking tasks.
• Quarterly verification of bank accounts for all entities
• Quarterly review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cashier journals to ensure all process documentation is up to date.
• Working Capital reporting and query resolution for all entities.
• Cash forecasting
• Support for Shared Service Manager (Payroll and pensions) for analysis and reporting.
• Other ad hoc duties as instructed.

• You have experience of working in a financial environment.
• You are actively studying (AAT, CIMA or ACCA). We will support your studies!
• You would enjoy being client facing and are able to quickly build rapport with people
• You thrive on working to extremely tight deadlines at month and quarter end.
• You know when to modify how you present your information. ensuring the key points land with your audience
• You have a commitment to quality and actively seek to broaden your experience and knowledge to keep ahead of the curve!
• You’re curious – you seek to understand what is going on and proactive in recommending improvements
• Your team is important to you, you like to get involved in a great one team culture and are not averse to the occasional team activity, including fancy dress!
